Back to Vancouver
The last days of our trip, we spent driving southwards to Vancouver – 3 days to be precise. The road
close to Prince Rupert was spectacular, once again a fjord-like environment. Later on, we reached the
same road that we used to drive northwards 3 weeks ago.
It was still a beautiful drive, but the nature was less spectacular.
Close to Vancouver, we took the same short detour as at the beginning of the trip: via Whistler.
Driving through that particular mountain range was super scenic again, and we enjoyed it a lot, even
though we had already seen most of it. We stopped briefly in Whistler to check out the famous skiing
area – it was kind of nicely set up as a very green village, but totally stacked with tourists and
downhill mountain bikers, so we quickly continued.
After a lunch break at the coast, we reached Vancouver and met with Tomáš’ friend Tomáš.
Tomáš would return to Prague the next day and I would continue for one more day in the city of Vancouver
and spend one last day in Seattle with Marek. The first part of our Panamericana project is therefore
completed. Let’s see when we will find the time to continue!
